WASHINGTON (KEYC) -An international trip for the Region Nine Development Commission has earned the nonprofit national recognition.
In 2022, Region Nine participated in a learning exchange with German counterpart North Rhine-Westphalia.
The 19-person delegation from Region Nine used their local experience to share and learn from the NRW.
To commend the collaborative efforts, Region Nine was given the 2023 Aliceann Wohlbruck Impact Award from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO).
It was one of 107 projects across 71 organizations, in 28 states, given by NADO.
